Solemn opening ceremony took place on September 27, 2018 after the transport interchange major reconstruction on the Federal Highway M-4 «Don» section — 1319 km.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board of «Russian Highway» State Company Sergey Kelbakh, Krasnodar region governor Veniamin Kondratyev, the Chief executive officer in PC the Open JSC «The group construction companies «Don» Vladimir Kirsanov, road builders and mass media representatives.

«We have completed another project on M-4 Don section, untied another road junction that inhibited the safe high-speed traffic between the Center of Russia and the Black sea coast. We worked as a single team with the Krasnodar Region administration. And we will proceed our activity related to the development of highway M-4 into a pass-through, unimpeded high-speed road», — noted Sergey Kelbakh in his speech.

«It is not just an interchange, it is a very serious transport structure. It connects our country northern and southern parts, Krasnodar region resorts with the central part of Russia and with other regions. It is also the part of a large trade corridor through which Russia communicates with other countries», — said Veniamin Kondratyev.

Vladimir Kirsanov on behalf of the general contractor — «DONAERODORSTROY» company — thanked the Krasnodar region leadership for the vote of confidence in such a considerable project implementation and the customers — «Avtodor» state-owned company — for long-term and fruitful cooperation.

«I thank our big team — road workers, drivers, excavator operators, department heads — for conscientious and round-the-clock labor! With every commissioned facility you prove own skills and determine our company’s leadership in the road industry!», — underlined Vladimir Kirsanov.

The new transport interchange has completely modified the Federal highway «cross section» on this site and has «untied» the existing complex road junction: the basic direction — bypass of the city of Krasnodar (highway M-4 «Don»), minor direction — highway-approach to the city of Krasnodar (highway A-136).

New overhead road as part of the transport interchange as well as new highway section with a length about two kilometers were built, the lanes number increased to six (three in each direction), combined acceleration-deceleration lanes were equipped, over-ground pedestrian crossing and new bus stop shelters were built. Highway M-4 «Don» has acquired on this section the highest 1A category status with the estimated speed of 150 km/h (it previously made — 110 km/h, established — 130 km/h).

In addition, new, separately allocated local drives to the holiday villages, which are situated to the left and right of the highway, were built within the framework of the transport interchange reconstruction.

Road specialists of the «DONARODORSTROY» enterprise were awarded for great personal contribution to the transport interchange construction and reconstruction at the ceremony with letters of gratitude forwarded by the Chairman of the Board of the «Russian Roads» State-owned company. The following persons were among the awarded employees:

— Kalyuzhny Oleg Sergeyevich — land surveyor in SU-872;
— Smekalov Alexander Nikolaevich — 6-th category driver of mobile asphaltic concrete mixer in SU-869;
— Persidsky Vadim Eduardovich — truck driver in the mechanized convoy;
— Chub Andrey Yurievich, head of production site No. 3 in SU-872.

In addition, on behalf of the «DONAERODORSTROY» Joint Stock Company management, the general director of the company Sergey Zubanov handed out awards and inducements to the most distinguished employees.
